Alice O'Neill

I work with paper, much of it handmade from plants/plant material, and natural dyes. Other papers come from all over the world and are also often handmade and made from natural products (though not all). I work with a scalpel. Sometimes I will take a photograph and translate it into a papercut and collage and exhibit it next to the piece of art. Other pieces might be inspired by a poem or song and sometimes my work is a political comment.

I’m incredibly lucky to live surrounded by the beautiful North York Moors. Inspiration on my doorstep.
