Kate Brown

Having trained in art, Kate initially specialised in installations which explored the viewers relationship with both the art and the space within which it was displayed. Kate’s work has been exhibited nationally, including within York Minster and London, as well as internationally (Germany and Japan).

 

Having relocated to North Yorkshire in 2022, Kate has developed her practice and draws inspiration from the surrounding landscapes and botanicals. Utilising a gel plate and natural materials Kate creates mono-prints (all one of a kind) which aim to encapsulate the essence of the local environment.

 

Kate’s work continues to evolve throughout the passing seasons as colour palettes and landscapes transform. She can often be found, with her young daughter, exploring new places and foraging for the materials which inform her practice.
