Pamela Thorby
Ceramics
Pamela Thorby has swapped her musician's life for a new path in craftsmanship, making and firing her unique wheel thrown and handbuilt ceramics in her own studio and running the nearby Nunnington Pottery.
Playing with gesture, rhythm and form, Pamela's development as a maker continues with a body of sculptural and functional work reflecting her improvisational and imaginative abilities in her former career as a distinguished musician.
Wheel thrown and glazed studio ceramics with form and decoration inspired and informed by the ever-changing beauty of Ryedale. Cups, beakers, mugs, bowls, vases, jugs, platters, teapots, wall pieces. This is unique, skillfully handmade pottery for your home.

Situated between Helmsley and Malton, Nunnington Pottery and Arts in Nunnington Studios on Low Street, Nunnington is the gallery and workspace for Pamela Thorby and Ione Harrison.
