Rachel Rimell
Photography
I am a visual and photographic multi-disciplinary artist concerned mainly with the themes of identity, transitions and the liminal spaces that inform relationship to place and the landscape.
Mainly exploring landscape, seascapes and abstract photography, the sounds, textures and ambience of place; cultural, nostalgic and personal resonance with, and imprint we leave on, the landscape; and multi-faceted self and bonds of shared experience all inform my work.
My practice explores the inner self and outer persona and the invisible threshold between the two as well as physical and metaphorical boundaries and transitions.
Loose, mounted and framed prints are available to buy/order as well as small original cyanotype prints, cyanotype printed tote bags and emulsion lift original art pieces on glass and card.
I am currently studying for an MA in Photography, my work has received a number of accolades including winning Portrait of Britain 2020 as well as being published in the Portrait of Britain Volume 3 book and by legendary photographer Rankin in his This Is Britain book. I have also been widely exhibited in the UK and internationally
