I develop my paintings from the North Yorkshire area, where my heart lies and I feel grounded and alive. Visiting the moors and coast for inspiration.

My paintings are colourful abstracts and I like to get the feeling of a place, a moor, a sea with the weather, sounds, smells and changing seasons in my work. I am always exploring the nature of depth and personality associated with a place.

I have a series of ‘Deep Earth’ works which align closely with the moors and effects of different seasons and I am currently pushing this idea into even more abstraction.

I work in acrylic and mixed media on a variety of surfaces, ranging from smaller works to large pieces.
