AHH Studio Collective

I have been a practicing artist for over 35 years, working across photography, drawing, painting, and previously, large-scale installation. My art explores not just what is visible, but what lies beyond perception – the negative space, the shapes and forms that emerge from absence as much as presence.

My process begins with capturing the light in a fleeting moment, which is then manipulated to reflect that transient experience. These images are revisited and redrawn over extended periods – weeks, months, sometimes years – allowing the forms to slowly evolve. Eventually, they transition into oil paintings, where movement and ephemeral colour are given space to shift and shimmer across the canvas.
