Sarah Sharpe

I endeavor to capture something of my lived experience, mostly in a semi abstracted form, predominantly through paint and drawing. Imagination, the land I tread, people and their stories underpins all my work

 

Within my work birds, angels, motherhood and woodland  are a constant, and yet they change too, as my life changes with the passing seasons. 

 

Over the past few months, I have been working with natural earth pigments, an explorative time of experimenting, research, playing and dreaming. 

 

I am an elected member of MAFA (Manchester Academy of Fine Art) and am drawn to work with people on a one-to-one basis who find it hard, for whatever reason, to access groups.
